One more night
One More Night is a short atmospheric narrative set in a fully hand-drawn storybook world, where a bedtime story begins reshaping reality into unraveling chaos. As unseen voices watch and a knowing creature pursues her, Layali struggles to survive inside a tale slipping beyond its storyteller’s control.
the game directly embodies the Reversed Roles theme by turning storytelling itself into gameplay and shifting control away from where players expect it to be. This reversal is expressed through both gameplay and narrative. Instead of the player fully controlling the world, the story is shaped by a mother and child, causing the rules of reality to change mid-game, gravity flips, peaceful moments become dangerous, and mechanics evolve without warning. The storyteller is no longer fully in control of the story, the listener becomes part of the narrative, and Layali (originally just a character inside a tale) begins to influence how the ending unfolds. By constantly reversing who holds power between narrator, character, and player, the game blurs the line between creator and creation, perfectly reflecting a world where logic bends, roles shift, and imagination rewrites the rules in real time.
